Some of the information within may be difficult to read or understand, and we get that. Our hearts go out to those hurting and struggling with their identity. This too shall pass, and you are loved. If you’re considering transitioning from male to female, or female to male, we need to let you know that it’s what’s called an “Elective” surgery and/or a plastic surgery operation that begins with a mutilation of working body parts. Those are the two primary categories that Top Surgery and Bottom Surgery fall within for layman’s terms here online.  We are not doctors, but it’s common knowledge that it’s not biologically possible to actually change your sex on that level. There is no actual way to fully change your sex from a man into a woman, or transition from female to male. It’s just not possible on a cellular level for your entire body to do that. However, there are several operations available that can alter your outward appearance to resemble a man or woman. If you have “transitioned” and you’re ready to talk to someone about de-transitioning, please let us know. Also feel free to use the Mental Health Hotlines at any time you need to be heard. You matter to us, and you are loved. 

Hormone Blockers in Portland are not difficult to get, and there are other medications also available at some clinics, but the possible complications and stunted growth of your brain’s frontal cortex or sexual organs (small penis or no boobs/eggs) is very real. It’s also important to note that you can’t get back time. Therefore, when you use Blockers to block hormones, you are really blocking growth in every direction. Growth of the brain and body parts. In fact, some of the cocktails used as Blockers are used in chemical castration, so just be aware that you are making a permanent decision for yourself when you do that.

Our heart goes out to all the “transgender” identifying children in Portland, Oregon and beyond. It’s harmful, especially when considering the increase prevalence of suicide in transgender youth. 

De-transitioning in Portland is actually more welcoming than many environments because there seems to be a level of understanding in Oregon, that we’re all a little bit “excentric” we’ll say. Everyone is different, and trying to fit in is tougher than ever. We encourage you to embrace yourself with love and give yourself the same understanding that you are longing for deep down. Most people have that feeling, the longing for deeper connection. In today’s world, that can be hard and as your journey progresses we are confident you can own your power with strength and grace. Mental illness induced transitioning is actually the most common, because it covers such a wide range of issues. We opened with Trauma to make this easier to read, because the trauma just might be one of the issues that needs to be identified within the mental crisis in order to properly heal. Mental illness is very complex, and Portland, Oregon is uniquely susceptible to mental health crises for many reasons. What is autogynephilia? Basically, Autogynephilia is when some gets pleasure from being a female or thinking of themselves as female. The actual definition of Autogynephilia is a person’s propensity to be sexually aroused by the thought or image of themselves as a female. The term was coined in the late 1980s by sexologist Ray Blanchard to describe what he categorized as a paraphilia (an atypical sexual interest) in certain cisgender men and male-to-female (MtF) transgender individuals.” It’s also important to note that Google search results have changed recently and the AI definition now includes the extra (from the Greek for “love of oneself as a woman”) addition which I would assume has been carefully placed there to make it sound less abnormal. As someone who can influence those AI search results, I am telling you that is not a mistake and it’s rather new because I have personally looked into Autogynephilia prior to writing this and citing sources. It’s easier than you think. All they have to do is edit Wikipedia and poof the terms has been watered down with “love of oneself as a woman” so it’s not that bad, right? Wrong. As a male, I can tell you there’s a difference between “loving oneself as a woman” and obsessing about being an actual woman when you’re not. So where does that come from? Lots of places, and we’ll explore more together in time.

At Oregon Laser Surgery Centers, we are dedicated to leading with love and truth, even when it’s hard to hear. Many of the transgender affirming doctors who affirm gender transition surgeries and provide gender transition surgery operations are not being truthful with their patients. In fact, words like “Top Surgery” and “Bottom Surgery” are misleading, and in violation of the Doctor’s own hippocratic oath. They know that transitioning someone to change sex is not actually possible, and they know the procedures start with a mutilation of existing body parts, but they do it anyway. Sad. We will tell you the truth here, and if you still choose the elective surgical procedures to transition yourself, we will still love you. All we ask is that you please do not force your new identity onto others. It is my belief that unnecessary fearmongering is churned to create division, when there is more unity than you might think. We care more about you. You are worth it, and this entire page was made just for you. It means that much to us that you hear this message of love and truth that others deny.
